Learning outcomes »Expand the programmatic complexity and intervention scales practiced in previous years. »Recognize the value of the plan, the elevation, the cut, the model, etc., as the set of tools capable of fully defining a project. »Understand and solve the architectural form - for buildings, or sets of buildings, with different uses - as a result of multiple requests (urban, functional, aesthetic, symbolic, productive, climatic, communicational, etc.). »Combine all the constraints present in the project act (legislative, constructive, structural, etc.). »To develop the concept of an execution project (construction system, materials, connections, details, etc.)» To strongly insist on the production of work in class, in the exchanges of opinion inherent to the practice of the atelier and in the presentations and public debates, to optimize the exchange of ideas and develop self-criticism and constructive criticism in general.
Syllabus Consolidate skills in the selection and application of design methods involved in architecture and construction, raising knowledge, experience and skills. Understand architecture and urban space based on personal experimentation. Enrich the architectural culture, avoid preconceived ideas in the individual architectural expression. Develop projects at different scales, valuing critical sense, the ability to choose, strict action, design and formal consistency. Understanding architecture as an experimental activity, promoting the project as a synthesis - place, program, form, scale, language - resolved through design and model, means of analysis in the creative act. Agglutinate areas such as structures, constructions, theory, history, converging in the project act. Elect construction as enriching the spatiality and language of the project, highlight the constructive detail as a tool for defining the shape and not as a procedure to be fulfilled.
