Learning outcomes The purpose of this course is to introduce the students to the basic concepts of macroeconomics. As a result, the students must attain the following objectives:
- An understanding of the fundamental aspects of macroeconomic theory;
- An understanding of the basic tools used in the analysis of macroeconomic theory;
- The capability of solving current problems using the analytical tools presented in the classroom;
- At the end of the semester, the student must show competence and understanding of basic macroeconomic theory, including the capacity to solve theoretical problems and explain real life events that relate to macroeconomics.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Relying on the theoretical exposition of macroeconomic theories and the resolution of practical problems, all subjects taught in class are designed to help students to better understand the fundamental concepts presented by the macroeconomic environment.
To complement and reinforce concepts presented in the classroom, all items mentioned in the curricular syllabus will be presented primarily through slides, followed by discussions and classroom presentations. In order to help students with the resolution of practical problems, all support materials used in class lectures are assessable through UBI-Moodle.
