To obtain the knowledge necessary to guide the development, the selection or the administration of information systems appropriate to the company. To establish the dialogue with managers in order to avoid mistakes in investment, and thus, ensure the successful use of IS/IT in organizations. At the end of the curricular unit the student should be able to: 1) Understand the terms, concepts, principles and methodologies associated with the development and use of IS/IT in organizations; 2) Know the different types of information systems and their function; 3) Develop knowledge about the different perspectives of information systems in an organization, in particular the alignment between technology (IT) and business (business); 4) Analyze situations using IS/IT, proposing a set of solutions and choosing the best one.
