Learning outcomes |
Acquisition of basic knowledge, theoretical and practical, in Physics, namely in Mechanics, and Vibrations and Waves, for the understanding of important physical phenomena for Engineering.
At the end of the course, the student should be able to analyze, understand and mathematically describe some basic phenomena of Mechanics, and Vibrations and Waves. Consequently, will be able to apply its basic principles in the description and discussion of a physical experience relevant to Engineering.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Theoretical classes of oral exposition using audiovisual means. Theoretical-practical classes of oral and written exposition, with the resolution of problems where student participation is strongly encouraged.
Final assessment of the Curricular Unit will consist of a specific component, which consists of two written tests, with equal weight, with questions focusing on the subjects taught in the classes. .
