Learning outcomes |
This UC allows the student to acquire an integrated perspective of the historical and epistemological evolution of psychology as an academic discipline. At the end of this UC, Students must be able to: - Demonstrate an understanding of the historical, socialeconomic, and philosophical roots of psychology; - Characterize and compare/contrast the major landmarks and epistemological / major schools of thought/object and method; - Develop and demonstrate a critical thinking about the science of psychology; - Describe the development of psychology as a scientific discipline and a professional pratice; - Search and critically analyze scientific information; - Demonstrate teamwork skills.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Teaching methodologies and learning activities include: a) theoretical sessions, with curricular content exposure and discussion; b) theoretical and practical tasks; c) and independent study. The evaluation process include knowledge assessment tests, theoretical and practical exercises application of knowledge and skills conducted throughout the semester, and oral or written presentations.
