Learning outcomes |
The aim is that the students learn and apply several methods of descriptive and inferential statistics, parametric and nonparametric, and analyze statistical data in the field of psychology with the aid of a software (IBM SPSS). At the end of the course, students should be able to: a) Understand and apply statistical methods used in the analysis of different data types; b) Use software that allows the statistical analysis of experimental data; c) Produce and organize the results from a statistical analysis of experimental data; d) Analyze and criticize studies and/or articles in the field of psychology, which are in accordance with the syllabus.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The classes are of type theoretical and practical, in which two students has a computer for data processing with statistical software (SPSS).
Learning Assessment The classification of teaching and learning (CEA) will be the sum of three (individual) written tests (with scores: 6, 7 and 7 points), through solving exercises using a statistical software (SPSS). A student will be excused from the final exam if the CEA is at least equal to or greater than 9.5. Restriction to be admitted to Final Exam: a) CEA < 6; b) Class attendance <75% (only for regular students).
