Learning outcomes The objective of this course is the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge of Physics, in view of applications of classical mechanics in various related scientific and technological areas.
Syllabus kinematics.
Newton's laws. work. potential energy. Conservation of mechanical energy.
Center of mass. Collisions.
Moment of a force and moment of inertia. Angular momentum.
gravity. Static balance and elasticity. Tension and strain.
Fluids. Pressure in a fluid. Impulsion and principle of Archimedes. hydrostatics. Bernoulli equation.
Viscous flow.
Oscillations. Transverse waves and longitudinal waves. Overlap of waves and standing waves.
