Learning outcomes |
The unit Instrumentation and measurement aims to provide students with the basic concepts related to metrology science and, promote the development of skills for planning and writing technical reports, oral presentations, development of skills related with experimental laboratorial activities. At the end of this course the student should be able to: • Describe methods and techniques for evaluating the measurement quality; • Apply methods to measure of electric quantities; • Understand the basic transducers specifications for measure the most important non-electrical quantities; • Describe the most important elements of the measurement chain; • Design of basic measurement systems for specific applications. • Capacity to operate with laboratorial instrumentation; • Assembly, in laboratorial environment, of electrical circuits; • Performance analysis of the of electrical circuits.
