Learning outcomes This course aims to give the student theoretical knowledge of the philosophical problematization of what nature and the environment are, as well as of the human relationship with nature and the environment.
At the end of the course, the student should have developed skills and competences:
a) Basic -Identify and describe the main problematics addressed by the philosophical study of nature and the environment;
b) Operational -To understand and use the concepts and methodologies of the main philosophical proposals in the field, namely in the formation of ethical and environmental judgments and in the understanding of the relationship with nature;
c) Transversal - Develop self-reflective capacity on environmental issues of relationship with nature and understanding of its "nature".

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Methodologically, the classes will include moments of exposition of fundamental theories and concepts, and moments of reading and critical analysis of texts.
The assessment consists of the preparation of an ecobiography and an open-ended written test. Each element has a weight of 40%. Active participation has a weighting of 10%.
The assessment moments cover the basic skills of identifying and understanding the fundamental notions and distinctions in the philosophical problematization of nature and the environment, as well as the operational skills of ethical-political analysis of the problem of the environment and ecology in the contemporary context, as well as transversal skills, assessed especially in active participation in class.
