Learning outcomes This curricular unit has the main purpose of providing the student with knowledge on the theories, problems and foundations of the main currents and authors of philosophy in Portugal from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.
At the end of the course, the student should have developed the following skills and competences
- Identify and contextualize the main currents and authors representative of Philosophy in Portugal/or by Portuguese from medieval times to the 20th century;
- Interpret and analyse the texts of the Portuguese philosophers studied - focusing on the argumentation, identification of theses, influences and problems - and develop a critical reflection on them;
- Explain clearly, orally and in writing, relevant aspects of the issues and problems addressed.
