Learning outcomes The main objective of this Curricular Unit (CU) is to develop academic and scientific research skills in the field of International Relations. To this end, students are exposed to the fundamentals and key issues related to research practices, enabling them to conduct and disseminate different types of academic and scientific work, while adopting a critical and ethical perspective. By the end of the semester, students should be able to:

1. Understand the fundamentals of scientific knowledge and research.
2. Identify, select, and manage reliable sources of information in IR.
3. Apply critical reading and information organization techniques.
4. Write academic and scientific papers while respecting citation standards.
5. Recognize good practices in knowledge dissemination.
6. Reflect critically on ethical dilemmas in research.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The assessment process covers the following two elements:
- Class participation: 20% (4 points)
- Individual written work: 80% (16 points)

The final grade will be the weighted average of the two assessment elements.
