Learning outcomes Following the Materials and Manufacture Processes curricular units, it is intended to provide students with knowledge about production systems and production processes, so that, when the industrial designer is working in an industrial context, they have knowledge of how this context works.

- Customization and standardization.
- Product segmentation; Deconstruction of an object
- Product diagram; Component map.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria - Minimum attendance: 60%.
- Minimum grade for access to the Exam(s): 7 points (from 20 points).

- Assessment Moments:
- Moment 1 (TP - practical work + AP - presentation): - Weighting: 30% (delivery: 04/11/2025; presentations: 11/11/2025 and 18/11/2025).
- Moment 2 (TE - written test): - Weighting: 50% (09/12/2025).
- Moment 3 (AC - Attendance): - Weighting: 20% (attendance and in-class exercises).

Final Grade = (0.3 x (TP+AP)) + (0.5xTE) + (0.2xAC) >= 9.5 points

Students with status, duly validated by Academic Services, will be exempt from completing homework assignments and presenting practical work. The final grade will be calculated as:

Final Grade = (0.5xTP) + (0.5xTA) >= 9.5 points.

The final grade calculation method is valid for the teaching-learning period (attendance).

To be eligible to take an exam (Regular or Resit):

Final Grade = Exam Score >= 9.5 points
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
