Learning outcomes |
The main objective of the curricular unit is to support the writing of the theoretical foundation of the the doctoral thesis. At the end of the CU, the student will have to: (1) present the state of the art that underpins the research proposed at the CU Project presentation; (2) discuss the scientific relevance of concepts / models / theories to the problem and research questions; (3) carry out a critical analysis of the selected information and relate it to the objectives; (4) present a literature review document that is an original contribution; (6) submit a communication to a scientific event with full text or a paper to a scientifical journal with peer review

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The CU will be conducted through small lectures followed by text analysis and other tasks; presentation and discussion of the work development of each student; tutorial sessions (student-supervisor)
The granting of the 60 ECTS, corresponding to the conclusion of the second year, will take into account the development of the thesis, according to the set objectives.
