To provide students with knowledge about the physical, chemical and microbiological characterization of water.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria This subject comprises 18 hours of direct contact, 2 hours of tutorial guidance and 28 hours of independent work (total: 48 hours). Passing this subject grants the student 1 ECTS. Classes are organized into theoretical sessions, with presentation of content on physical, chemical and microbiological parameters characteristic of water, as well as methods for their determination and quantification, and practical sessions, which include carrying out some physical and chemical analyzes in the Sanitation Laboratory Environmental of DECA-UBI. The subject assessment is carried out through the assessment of reports on the determination of physical and chemical analyses. Obtaining a grade equal to or greater than 9.5/20 grants approval in the UC.
