Learning outcomes |
This course aims to teach students how to research, organize, and disseminate scientific knowledge. By the end of the course, students should be able to: - Identify the main sources of scientific information in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and health sciences. - Conduct and interpret the results of a bibliographic search in PubMed. - Identify the general characteristics of a scientific article. - Characterize the stages a scientific article goes through until publication. - List the criteria for selecting a journal for publishing a scientific article. - Demonstrate oral and written communication skills, including communication to the general public.

- Scientific literature and scientific information research. - Scientific writing: characteristics and structure. - Organization of scientific information: bibliographic tools and citation of bibliographic references. - Scientific areas and scientific journals: impact and relevance. - Formatting requirements for scientific publications. - Types of tools used for the dissemination of scientific information. - Preparing a poster for an international conference. - Oral presentations in different fields. - Preparing a research project presentation.
