Learning outcomes |
In this course unit it is intended that students integrate the acquired knowledge and develop capabilities in order to prepare a research project by selecting a nowadays theme, that characterize the state of the art, that identify issues of concern. At the end of the course unit students should be able to identify issues of concern and formulate the problems; to understand the scientific method in order to prepare a research project leading to a doctoral thesis; to have capacity to plan, to establish tasks and to develop a task schedule.

This curriculum Unit does not have a specific syllabus, it will be the result of continued contact of the student with the Scientific Advisor, with other doctoral students and teachers with whom he/she interacts, and seminars and conferences in which he/she participates.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Methodologies: This curricular unit follows the Tutorial Guidance method. The person responsible for the curricular unit establishes an individual work plan for each student that will take into account the specificity of each project to be developed. Most of the work is developed through individual student work. At the end, a seminar will be held where students must present and defend publicly their research project in front of a panel of evaluators made up of professors from the Course Committee and possibly other researchers from the institution.
