Learning outcomes	While sponsoring the understanding of Aesthetics and aesthetic as interpretative models for Cultural phenomena,this CU boosts the debate of themes that gather general interest,without overlooking the goal of stimulus to creative capacities of students in the milieu of their professional activities. Students must: identify the main development stages of the sensitive condition of thought as that basic competence which will allow them to recover, in all of its extent, the self-comprehension of Aesthetics as a doctrine of sensibility; to recognize this other dimension of the aesthetic which is held to the theme of a demise of the ideal of an objectivity of taste; grasp the meaning of the ageless theme of the relation between Art and Nature and to understand the ontological claim for a rehabilitation of sensibility; identify de mutually requested features in Culture and Aesthetics.
Syllabus	A - GOALS To define the origins and the concept of Aesthetics. To characterize some of the most influent perspetives about Aesthetics .To encourage the analysis and, therefore, the understanding of fundamental texts .To sponsor a genuine interest for reflection of linking themes between Aesthetics and Culture B - THEMES: I) The rehabilitation of sensibility as key theme for Aesthetics II) The enigma of beauty: cultural and/or aesthetic pattern? III) The relation between Art and Nature IV) Imitation and/or creation? From the representative arts to expressive arts IV) Culture and Aesthetics: the existence of a specifically aesthetic Culture.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria	Classes in TP register and in close scientific and pedagogical consonance with the learning objectives defined above. Criteria: two written tests (40% + 40%); attendance and active participation in proposed activities + final interview (20%). Factors such as the active participation in the proposed activities, attendance (the program was thought assuming the actual presence of the students) punctuality, as well as the students' overall behavior (such as the interest shown, the pertinence or objectivity of the interventions will be some of the points appreciated). Admission to Exam: . The evaluation that allows access to the Exam is 6 (Six) Values. . Only those students who meet all the elements for the continuous assessment provided in the item "Evaluation" are admitted to the Exam
