Learning outcomes |
At the end of the Assessment and monitoring of sports training course, the student should be able to: a. Discuss the importance of evaluation and monitoring in training and competition, and consequently in sports training planning; b. Discuss data collection methodologies, their reliability and suitability according to objectives, and ethical aspects;
c. Demonstrate the ability to select specific methodologies for the collection and processing of information, in training and competition, which allows for the individual assessment of the player, depending on the sport; d. Demonstrate the ability to assess the different components of sporting performance in the different disciplines, taking into account ethical procedures, the different assessment methods and the interpretation of results and comparison with normative values; e. Demonstrate the ability to design, analyse and communicate sports evaluation and monitoring reports in a simple and objective manner for different audiences.
