Learning outcomes This curricular unit aims to develop knowledge about gym activities (cardiorespiratory, strength training, group classes) and skills on the principles of exercise evaluation and prescription in gym contexts that allow the teaching and monitoring of the activities developed. Demonstrate knowledge of the origin, evolution and classification of different fitness activities. • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to use the material and specific equipment of different fitness activities, with the capacity to create conditions for education / training to meet safety standards. • Ensure the methodology with respect to the component sequence and structure of classes as well as the basic skills of pedagogy in teaching / training in several and different fitness activities. • Demonstrate ability to coordinate and conduct exercise programs aimed at promoting health and well-being.
