Learning outcomes |
The main objective of this CU is to promote knowledge and reflection on the theoretical and practical production of architecture in the Modern Era, understanding its origins, development and socio-cultural constraints. It is also essential to develop the ability to construct knowledge in Architecture, considering writing with integrity and ethics. Knowledge of architectural history aims to foster greater maturity in reflection on the history of production and in critical awareness, with inevitable repercussions for subsequent architectural practice and discourse. Learning to think about architecture from a complex perspective, drawing on a wide range of knowledge, is another objective of all architectural training, and this CU is aligned with this way of thinking/acting on architectural knowledge. Greater critical discursive competence should be structured around the various proposals students encounter throughout their training.
