Learning outcomes |
Lectures and theoretical-practical classes: suitable for explaining the functioning of the visual system, the Theory of Form, and the concepts of spatial perception. Case studies and analysis of architectural examples: facilitate understanding of the application of visual perception in architecture and the relationship between depth, space, and aesthetics. Group work and class discussions: promote the development of communication skills, mutual respect, and teamwork, in addition to stimulating critical reflection on the experience of spaces. Individual and group research projects: encourage autonomy in scientific research, the integration of knowledge, and practical application in real architectural contexts. Oral presentations and written reports: allow students to develop their Portuguese language skills, both oral and written.

Psychology and Architecture. From architect viewing: Creativity and the architectural objects. From subject viewing: the interaction and recreation of the architectural object. Human interaction with architectural environment: implication of some psychological processes. Vision: light and the visual system, and the image that is reconstructed in mind. Perceiving depth.
