Learning outcomes The main objective of this course unit is the study of electromechanical energy conversion.At the end of this course unit the student should be able to:. Understand the fundamentals of electrostatics and magnetostatics. . Understand the fundamentals of the electromagnetic theory. . Understand and use the techniques of analysis in both DC and AC circuits. . Understand the electromagnetic properties of materials. . Understand the behavior of different types of materials, for the mechanism of transport of electrical charge and the application of magnetic fields. . Understand and use techniques of design and analysis of magnetic circuits Syllabus REVISIONS: Electrostatic Field. Coulomb's Law. Electric Field Intensity. Potential. Gauss's Theorem.
