Control Systems

Code 8555
Year 3
Semester S1
ECTS Credits 6
Workload T(15H)/TP(45H)
Scientific area Informatics, Automation and Control
Entry requirements None
Mode of delivery Face-to-face
Work placements N/A.
Learning outcomes The objectives of this curricular unit are: to acquire skills in classical topics of control systems and automation, such as for example: the time domain and the frequency domain analysis of systems, the design of control systems, PID controllers, the stability and the robustness of dynamical systems; as well as to obtain a good introduction to the modern control, in the description of systems in state equations.
The competences to be acquired by the students are related to understanding the fundamental concepts and being able to design control systems and automation.
