To Describe mitotic, meiotic and apoptotic mechanisms. To Distinguish by optic microscopic cells on mitotic and meiotic states. Syllabus |
Prokaryotic and eucariotic cells. Endosymbiotic theory. Cytoskeleton, chromosomes, nuclear envelope and nucleus (gene expression, nucleic acid). Dynamics and regulation, nuclear transport, aggregation and disaggregation. Compartmentation, structure and function of the cytoplasmic membrane, hialoplasma, cytoskeleton, microfilaments, intermediate filaments, microtubules. Mitochondria, chloroplasts, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi complex: morphology, composition and functions .Lysosomes and peroxisome: structure and functions. Lipids and carbon hydrates. Signalization: paracrine, endocrine, autocrine and synaptic. Membrane receptors coupled to G protein and ion channels, tyrosine kinase and phosphatase. Nitric oxide, acetylcholine, and phospholipase C signalization via. CAMP and Ca+2. Mitosis and Meiosis: phases and checkpoints. Apoptosis and effectors. P: proteins by spectrophotometric methods, amino acids, vitamin C, rat dissection, microscopy, and mitotic phases.
