The unit Biomedical Instrumentation and Measurements aims to provide students with the basic concepts related to acquisition and signal conditioning for use in monitoring, diagnosis and therapy, promote the development of skills for planning and writing technical reports, oral presentations, development of skills related with experimental laboratorial activities. At the end of this course the student should be able to: • Describe methods and techniques for evaluating the measurement quality; • Apply methods to measure of biomedical quantities; • Understand the basic transducers specifications for measure biomedical quantities; • Design of basic measurement systems for biomedical applications; • Capacity to operate with laboratorial instrumentation;
