Learning outcomes The course aims to introduce and develop aspects of advanced topographic methods and its application to civil engineering.
-Solid knowledge of field and office procedures in a practical example of a Deformation Measurement;
-Understanding of the methods and procedures applicable to the advanced topographic course;
-Understanding of procedures for specific Civil Engineering topographic operations, in laboratory,construction sites and existing buildings including themomentary or diachronic nature of the measurements.
-Understanding of methods and tools for momentary and diachronic measurements.
-Understanding of the interdisciplinary contact of Geographic Engineering, in particular the Advanced Topography, with the areas of Construction in Civil Engineering.
Syllabus 1. Review of topographic methods and procedures.
2. Measurements of deformations and pathologies in Civil Engineering.
3. Topographic measurements applied to laboratory tests (the experience of DECA).
4. Choice of instruments and methods of measurement according to the precision required in the different coordinate axes.
5. Geodetic and topographic infrastructure according the size of the object and the momentary or diachronic nature of measurements.
