Learning outcomes At the end of the course students should have basic knowledge of Chemistry and Organic Chemistry to develop interest in the study of Chemistry in their interrelations with the course they attend, and understand the application of concepts acquired in the UC in contexts related to Optometry and Vision Sciences. In addition to the acquisition

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria FREQUENCY-BASED COURSE ASSESSMENT:
The assessment for this course is divided as follows:
• 67% Module I
• 33% Module II
Module I assessment consists of two main components:
• 80% Theoretical Component (1st Frequency (written exame))
• 20% Laboratory Component (Pre-lab preparation (20%)+Laboratory performance (20%)+Laboratory notebook (20%)+Written test (40%) (Note: This test is conducted simultaneously with the theoretical test.)
Module II assessment also consists of two main components:
• 80% Theoretical Component (2nd Frequency (written exam))
• 20% Theoretical/Practical Component (Preparatory work (20%)+Performance (40%)+Written test (40%) (Note: This test is conducted simultaneously with the theoretical test.)
COURSE ASSESSMENT THROUGH EXAMS:
The Classification during the Exam period (CE) follows the same weighting as in the Frequency-based assessment:
• 67% Module I
• 33% Module II
