Learning outcomes This CU aims to prepare the student with theoretical and practical knowledges on the domain of graphical
representations and spatial analysis of georeferenced information of diversified sources. This allows the decision
making process to be technically based but also to promote and optimize management of territory, systems and
infrastructures and evaluate evolving scenarios.
The following competencies will be developed during the curricular unit:
? A) Mastering data acquisition, processing and spatial analysis techniques for diagnostic, planning, design and
management.
? B) Understanding the objectives and functionalities of geographic information systems.
? C) Understanding the main formats of digitally integrated spatial data.
? D) Recognition of different tools for advanced spatial analysis available in GIS software and its potential in different
areas of Architecture.
