The master's degree concludes with the completion of a dissertation. This curricular unit will seek to provide skills and solid instruments that allow autonomy in the realization of a qualified dissertation, both methodologically and formally, as well as scientifically. In this sense, the main goal is to understand what it is and how research in architecture is developed and realized. The secondary objectives are fulfilled using expositive lessons, analysis of scientific productions and hands-on. These are, among others: the importance of carrying out the research and its originality and pertinence, the diversity of existing formats and which are the stages of it, the identification of the topic, the questions it raises and the state of the art, as well as the existing research methodologies and those to be applied. Other complementary objectives include strategic issues, mastering the available work tools, managing the process, and understanding the graphic format.
