Learning outcomes The course "Introduction to ChatGPT in Public Administration" aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how to apply generative AI tools in administrative contexts. By the end of the course, students should be able to: • Understand and use techniques for writing and improving formal and informal texts. • Apply ChatGPT to create content for digital media and administrative communications. • Use translation tools effectively for different cultural and professional contexts. • Extract and analyze data from spreadsheets using ChatGPT. • Integrate AI tools with software like Excel and PowerPoint to enhance productivity. • Demonstrate mastery of learned techniques through practical projects.
Syllabus 1. Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT - Basic concepts of artificial intelligence. - Practical applications of ChatGPT in public administration. - Limitations and potentials of generative AI. 2. Assisted Writing of Formal Texts - Writing administrative documents, emails, and announcements. - Adjusting tone and style for different audiences. - Revising and refining texts with ChatGPT's help. 3. Creating Posts and News for Social Media and Digital Platforms - Generating content for social media engagement. - Storytelling techniques and adapting messages for diverse audiences. - Using complementary tools for image and video creation with AI. - Personalizing messages based on audience characteristics.
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Teaching Methods: • Theoretical lectures: To introduce basic concepts and AI applications. • Practical sessions: To develop specific skills using ChatGPT. • Individual and group projects: To apply acquired knowledge in practical situations. • Tutoring sessions: To clarify doubts and guide practical activities. Assessment Methods and Criteria: The evaluation will consist of: • Practical exercises (20%): Tasks performed during class to consolidate the content. • Final project (80%): Developing a practical presentation combining all elements covered in the course, evaluated for clarity, creativity, and proper application of techniques.
