Learning outcomes In this Course Unit is intended that the student acquires domain in projection of complex construction units, understanding the approach of units formed by aggregations of use units. It is also intended that the student acquires domain in understanding of the place and disciplinary theoretical referral. At the end of the Course Unit the student should be able to: propose architectural solutions; graphically transmit a proposal with technical rigor and with the ability to "sell" ideas; recognize the value of the plan, elevation, cut, model, etc., as the set of tools able to fully define a project; understand and solve the architectural form as a result of multiple requests (urban, landscape, functional, aesthetic, symbolic, productive climate, communication, etc.); combine all constraints presented at the projecting act (laws, construction, structural, etc.); optimize self-criticism and constructive criticism in general; analyze architectural projects.
Syllabus The defined objectives are achieved through the following programmatic contents (construction units with medium-size, mono-functional or mixed use): two main exercises (1. Housing structures; 2. Teaching building/accommodation building), a quick exercise (personal portfolio), two quick exercises (replaceable by the participation in workshops credited by UC).

The exercises that form the program claim that the students learn to: 1) develop the capacity for synthesis and self-criticism; 2) exercise themselves in the development of private and public unit/s with medium-size, forcing the student to recognize the incidence of “place”; build tools to obtain joint responses in public-private programs in urban sites; solve the interaction of different formal languages; have contact with the law; recognize and apply criteria of systematization and modulation to those parts of the program that require them, solving one at a time the singularities with creativity and rationality.
