Learning outcomes It is intended that students develop a research project in the area of Industrial Chemistry, supervised, integrated into the research groups of the
department or at an company, with cosupervision of a teacher from the Chemistry department.
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
Know the most relevant sources of information in Chemistry
Perform bibliographic search and gather information by consulting databases
Know how to disseminate chemical information through oral and panel communications
Organize, plan and make decisions
Perform, independently, experimental work, interpreting the obtained results
Improve and/or implement new techniques
Apply concepts and theories previously acquired in the development of the project
Collect and properly treat the experimental results, using appropriate tools
Prepare a final written report/dissertation and defend it orally
Understand scientific information written in English

- How to prepare an oral presentation
- How to design and prepare a poster for scientific conferences
- How to write a dissertation
- Development of a laboratory research project in the area of Industrial Chemistry with fundamental or applied nature
- Preparation of a short dissertation / final report, oral presentation and discussion
Main Bibliography Scientific articles and other bibliography according to the work to be developed
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
