Learning outcomes |
The main objectives of this CU should allow the student to acquire and develop skills within the scope of training planning and
programming. Therefore, upon completion, the student must be able to:
1.Understand the stages of planning construction according to the particularities of the modality, practitioners and contexts
2.Analyze and discuss the basis of programming models, structuring of training cycles and long-term sports preparation
3.Distinguish ways of organizing loads according to different models and training cycles
4.Develop elementary skills to build a training plan, according to the particularities of the modality, practitioners and context
5.Identify the different phases of the athlete's career, main characteristics and the fundamentals of training to be applied
6.Integrate and mobilize knowledge from Specific Methodology I - Sports Training to solve practical problems in different locations and
internship contexts

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The evaluation of the curricular unit will be carried out through the evaluation of students' performance in relation to the mastery and
understanding of concepts related to the planning and programming of sports training, but also through the application of this knowledge in
a practical evaluation, using oral presentations and discussions . The assessment includes:
1 – Group work consisting of research and analysis of 2 scientific articles on training programming in training stages, with
presentation/discussion in class – 20%
2 – Frequency of the content covered – 50%
3 – Presentation and discussion of a case study (i.e., specific problem from the real internship context) within the scope of the CU program
contents – 30%
Final classification:
The teaching-learning classification (TLC) grade = work 1 x 0.20 + frequency x 0.50 + work 3 x 0.30.
