Learning outcomes Objectives:
To develop the acquisition of knowledge on the different areas of Landscape, culturally transformed and humanized, based on the contents and themes dealt with in class, the research to be carried out by the students, on a specific theme or reality, and the completion of analytical synthesis work (of a phenomenological and scientific nature), on a selected case study, representative of the results achieved.
Competences:
Mastery of the concepts of Landscape, Natural Landscape and Cultural Landscape.
Study of the various processes of human intervention in the Natural Landscape and the Urban Landscape. Differentiating between actions resulting from Popular Architecture, Vernacular Architecture, Erudite Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
Understanding the Cultural Landscape as the result of a spontaneous, vernacular evolution of humanized space, in balance with the historical and civilizational contribution of erudite-based creative action, and encouraging its research.
Syllabus 1. The Natural Landscape as a support and agent for the transformation of the territory by human action.
2. Human intervention in the Natural Landscape in different spheres: Popular Architecture, Vernacular Architecture, Erudite Architecture (civil and military) and Landscape Architecture.
3. The construction of the Urban Landscape arising from the same areas.
4. The Cultural Landscape as the result of a spontaneous, vernacular evolution of humanized space, in balance with the historical and civilizational contribution of erudite-based creative action.
5. The Project (Architecture, Urban and/or Landscape) as an intellectual, technical and artistic action for the sustainable and intelligent transformation of the Landscape.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Assessment in the course unit takes into account the acquisition of theoretical knowledge acquired throughout the semester, its expression in theoretical work and implementation in problem-solving and the achievement of synthesized solutions in practical work.
