Ceramics and glass, the chemical composition of traditional ceramics, processing and testing of ceramic materials, structure and composition of the glass used in construction. 4. Alloys and steel for construction, production and characteristics, corrosion and electroplating; Main types of steel used in construction, 5. Timber and related products; Chemical composition and physical properties of wood; Cork, its structure and composition and its applications. 6. Polymers, materials for insulation, waterproofing and paints; materials for thermal and acoustic insulation; Water sealing materials; Paints and varnishes; Asphalt and bituminous membranes; PVC membranes and flooring melamine. 7. Introduction to composite materials and binders: Air and hydraulic lime; Cement, mortars and hydraulic; Asphalt bitumen.
