Learning outcomes |
To know and be able to apply new technologies in Design. To implement prototypes through practical projects. To develop intellectual and technological resources with critical application of current available technologies. To understand the importance of humanizing technology by means of exploring, contextualizing, discussing and applying immersive visual system/displays. To explore, contextualize and discuss new technologies to display still/moving images and to design/perceive three-dimensional spaces. To use experimental methodologies in the development of interdisciplinary projects. To develop ability to work in teams and new contexts. To work with creativity and autonomy being responsive to organizational requirements and deadlines. To communicate effectively to different interlocutors in professional contexts.

Syllabus |
Analysis and discussion of interdisciplinary projects with advanced multimedia interfaces; Visualization interfaces; Stereoscopy; Multimedia Urban Projections and VideoMapping; State of the art, concepts and techniques; Production and adaptation of 2D and 3D content; Trompe-l'oeil; Mapping techniques; Development of group projects: scheduling of projects in the various phases: concept, definition and justification, prototyping/proofing, production, post-production and public exhibition/presentation.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
We use a Project Based Learning method (PBL) to promote active learning, explore real-world problems, seeking a symbiosis between know-what and know-how. The evaluation is continuous and will be based on the student participation in the workshops, development, evolution and presentation of projects, as well as the aesthetic and technical quality of the work.
