Humanitarian Architecture and Incremental Housing for Crisis’ Design Studio; development of skills in the following areas and topics: design approaches to disaster crisis; disaster risk reduction strategies and techniques; design methods for slum upgrading and resettlement projects; incremental housing experiences and lessons from the past; health public issues in architecture for vulnerable communities; the relationship between architecture and climate change and design solutions for adaptation; sheltering and building typologies and pos-disaster reconstruction; cultural approaches for architecture in heritage areas affected by disasters; local resources-based architecture and lessons from vernacular knowledge for architecture recovery and reconstructions; mass customization and generative design approaches for housing projects; waterfronts projects for community resilience and climate change adaptation; mix-techniques for reconstruction in old and rural areas after earthquakes.
