Learning outcomes |
1. Show knowledge of the main trends of literary critical studies; 2. Apply analysis techniques to lyric, dramatic and narrative texts; 3. Reveal ability to produce texts that respect some basic principles of the exercise of literary creation. These objectives are achieved based on the theoretical-practical nature of the teaching hours, the first being of a theoretical nature, and the second and third of a practical nature.

Syllabus |
1. History of the word “literature” and issues of literary periodization; 2. The idealistic stylistic; 3. The Russian formalists; 4. Roman Jakobson: Literary Studies and Linguistic Studies; the theory of the poetic function; 5. Structuralism; 6. The pragmatic study of literature; 7. The aesthetics of reception: R. Ingarden, Iser, U. Eco and others; 8. The textual analysis (narrative, poetic and dramatic text). 9. Practical exercises to create different kinds of texts.
