i) Understanding and thinking the body as a social entity, shaped by social structure and institutions ii) Critically analyzing the way the body is constructed, how discourses about the body are framed and what impacts they have on individuals iii) Understanding how the society influences each person's sexuality and sexual identities and on the other hand the impact of agency in changing social interpretations of sexuality(ies) iv) Discuss in what way(s) the study of sexuality(ies) ) contributes to the understanding of society, because sexuality is a socio-culturally constructed and strongly regulated theme.
