Learning outcomes Acquisition of fundamental, theoretical, and practical knowledge of Physics, namely Electromagnetism and Modern Physics, for understanding physical phenomena inherent to Engineering. Familiarization with the microscopic world's dual (wave-particle) nature through various topics in modern physics.

At the end of the Course Unit, the student should be able to analyze, understand, and mathematically describe some basic phenomena of Electromagnetism and Modern Physics. Consequently, they will be able to apply its basic principles in describing and discussing a physical experiment relevant to Engineering.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Theoretical classes of oral exposition using audiovisual means and experimental demonstrations and/or simple computer simulations.
Theoretical-practical classes of oral and written exposition, with the resolution of application problems where student participation is strongly encouraged.

The final assessment of the Curricular Unit will consist of a specific component, which consists of two written tests, with equal weight, with questions focusing on the subjects taught in class.
