Learning outcomes This UC aims

1. in general terms

• promote the discussion of the assumptions of a conceptual analysis

• imply the characterization of philosophical work methods and research activity

• allow the preparation of a doctoral thesis project

2. in specific terms

• proceed to the examination and selective operationalization of specific methods of knowing and investigating philosophical

• write about problems, concepts and the development of arguments in the domain of philosophy

• at the end the student must write a study summary of a research project.

A) Epistemological-critical elements of philosophical research and dissertation
1. Epistemological characterization of the problem of philosophical activity inherent to a conceptual analysis, from a Deleuzian

B) Methodology of philosophical analysis
1. Methodological characterization of the dissertation and text commentary
2. Methodological characterization and selective operationalization of problem analysis tools, discussion of theories and conceptual distinctions; the analytical and continental approaches

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The final classification of each student will result from the weighting of the following elements:

1. Consistency of the active participation shown during the teaching sessions and the commitment shown in carrying out the established practical tasks (10%).

2. Scientific level of the 4 written works related to: work 1, epistemological-critical elements of philosophical investigation; work 2, analysis of a specific philosophical problem; work 3, listing of primary and secondary bibliography; work 4, thesis project study.

3. Quality of the oral presentation of written papers (10%).
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
