RecPad 2014 - 20th Portuguese Conference on Pattern Recognition @ UBI

RecPad 2014 is the Portuguese Conference on Pattern Recognition, sponsored by APRP (Associação Portuguesa de Reconhecimento de Padrões - Portuguese Association for Pattern Recognition). RecPad 2014 will take place at University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, on October 31st, 2014. Is is a one-day conference, with an invited talk and poster sessions.

Authors are invited to submit a two (2) paged extended abstracts, high-quality papers on topics in artificial intelligence, image processing and machine vision. Papers covering theoretical and/or applied work on computer vision are invited. All papers will be reviewed *double blind*, normally by two members of our Tecnical Program Committee. Reviews will judge submissions on originality, empirical results, quality of evaluation, and presentation. The accepted papers will be compiled and distributed only in electronic format. Please note that RecPad 2014 is a single track meeting with only poster presentations and will include one keynote presentation. APRP introduce the APRP Best Masters and Doctoral Theses Award for the purpose of distinguishing works of high merit in the area of pattern recognition, encouraging young Portuguese researchers to disseminate their work. And the Organizing Committee include this year a Best Poster Award.
