- A experiência de Singapura,
- Como pode a Universidade evoluir nesta área
Resumo:
"Use of Medical Simulation in Complex Learning Environments"- The talk may start off with an introduction to adult learning principles, and their relevance to medical education, and then zoom in onto the development of Simulation in Medical training. I will highlighting the challenges of teaching and learning in a chaotic environment when managing patient crisis, and how simulation overcomes that. Then I would narrate how we do simulation training in Singapore and point out all the other merits of this new learning modality.
Sobre "Managing Environmental and Personal Uncertainty with Ancient Wisdom. Astrology and career choices" - 17h00
Resumo:
Organisations have to actively thrive within the uncertainties in the rapidly changing world. I can briefly introducing the management concepts/tools of Strategic Planning, Business Forecasting (Technical Analysis) and Scenario Planning that companies often engage/use when coping with uncertainties. Then I can regress back in history to the medieval and ancient times when management and scientific tools do not exist, highlighting how mankind coped with uncertainties then. From this vantage point, I would introduce how mankind used Astrology to manage managing uncertainties in their environment and the similarities in the approaches between ancient and modern wisdom. We further elaborate how that ancient wisdom has since developed into the discipline of Modern Astrology which can be used for character analysis and psychological counselling with uses such as career choice.
