Docentes da University of Lethbridge proferem palestras na UBI

Lori Kopp e Richard Perlow, docentes da University of Lethbridge, Canadá, em visita na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (FCSH) da UBI, proferem, no dia 18 de março, respetivamente, as palestras “The Use of Personality Traits to Predict Propensity to Commit Fraud” e “The Role of Leader-Member Exchange Relations and Individual Differences on Counterproductive Work Behaviour”.

As palestras, inseridas no âmbito dos mestrados em Gestão, Marketing e em Relações Internacionais e no doutoramento em Gestão da UBI, são de entrada livre e terão lugar no anfiteatro 7.22 da FCSH, a partir das 14H00.

 

Breve curricula:

Lori Kopp is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada.  Before she studied for her doctorate she worked as an auditor for Grant Thornton. Since she has been a professor she has received research awards for two of her publications, the Chartered Accountant Education Foundation Teaching Award, the University of Lethbridge, Faculty of Management Advisory Council’s Distinguished Service Award and an Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta. She also has served as Chair of Accounting from 2010-2015.

Lori is a behavioral researcher who currently teaches auditing to undergraduate students and team-teaches a topics seminar to Masters’ students. A lot of her research has focused on the judgment and decision making of accountants and auditors. She loves to travel and spend time outdoors exploring exciting locations.

 

Richard Perlow is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior at the University of Lethbridge.  He received his PhD from the University of Houston in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.  Richard has master’s degrees from the University of Houston and Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami.

 Richard’s research interests are in individual differences in performance and employee counterproductive behavior.  He has taught at the undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral level on topics such as selection, training, and performance appraisal.  Rich has also served three terms as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Management at Lethbridge where he, among other things, worked with the Dean on the Faculty's strategic direction, oversaw the Faculty’s undergraduate program, and developed the Faculty’s Initial Self-Evaluation Report as part of the AACSB accreditation process.
