Learning outcomes |
This Curricular Unit aims to discuss the guidelines of current education policies in the context of globalization, transnationalization and territorialization and analyze the portuguese educational reality face to these trends.
At the end of this CU, the student should be able to: To perspective the current educational policies in the light of the contexts of globalization, transnationalization and territorial policies/decentralization; To interpret the legal framework that regulates the current Portuguese educational system; To review relevant research in the field of Educational Policies and organisation of education; To express essential ideas using oral and written communication; To develop collaborative work; To take responsibility for his own learning.

1.Introduction to the concept of Educational Policy, meaning and framing; 2. Horizon of current educational policies: Globalization and Transnationalization of Education; 3. European Policy and Global Education: Guidelines and actors; 4. Organization and structure of the current Portuguese educational system. The school reform administration: The autonomy of schools, the organization and curriculum management; The educational evaluation; The inclusive school; educational support and differentiation; Education and training for youth and adults; The status of the teaching profession and teacher professionalism.--
