Learning outcomes To prepare student for the first contact with Clinical Laboratory (CL)
To give students theoretical/practical training in the areas of Clinical Analysis
To provide clinical and laboratory knowledge for integration in specific teams
To perform basic training in expertise areas
At the end of this course the student should be able to:
-Know the hierarchy of a CL
-Apply knowledge in the understanding of the disease
-Perform laboratory techniques with increasing complexity
-Acquire practical skills including microscopy
-Interpret the results of the External Quality Assessment
-Identify and recognize changes in analytical parameters
-Interpret an analytical request and know how to fit the laboratory findings in different pathologies
-Identify laboratory cases of urgency
-Know to use scientific reasoning in the search for self-learning
