Learning outcomes |
The Curricular Unit Elements of Integration V aims to integrate content and skills developed by the student throughout the 5th year.
At the end of the UC students should be able to:
Integrate the knowledge acquired in the various UC of the 5th year
Apply acquired knowledge to develop reasoning applied to clinical practice.
Reveal relational and technical skills in a simulation context, applicable to Clinical practice.
Reflect on the importance of the activities carried out throughout the year for their training as a future doctor, person and health professional.

The syllabus corresponds to the contents of the 5th year UCs
The Clinical Skills Block (LaC) includes the following contents:
Critically ill approach
Management of the patient with acute vertigo
Newborn evaluation
Emergency clinical case
Competences in Otorhinolaryngology
Skills in Orthopedics
Neurological exam
Patient safety

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
1. The Integrated Clinical Assessment (ACI) is carried out after the theoretical and practical classes, through the resolution of clinical cases with and without simulated patients, allowing an integrated assessment of the knowledge and skills acquired by the students. The ACI assessment criteria are defined at the beginning of each academic year.
2. The Portfolio is completed on the computer platform by students throughout the academic year. Evaluation is carried out at the end following the defined criteria.
3. Clinical Skills are taught in seminars and also in clinical settings by specialists in the field. Assessment is carried out through partial assessments based on specific criteria subject to approval by the Course Commission and the Pedagogical Council at the beginning of the academic year.
