Introduction to Rocketry
Rocket performance parameters.
Chemical rocket propulsion: solid propellants and liquid propellants.
Hybrid rocket propulsion.
Nuclear rocket propulsion.
Electric rocket propulsion: electrothermal, electrostatic and electromagnetic.
Rocket engine components.
Selection of rocket propulsion systems.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The methodology based on the solution of problems and laboratory tests is the closest to the practical situation where an engineer performs his job.
The assessment of knowledge is based on the final exam (individual).
1) Final Exam (individual)
The final exam (NEF) consists of a written test (NE) and oral exam (NEO). The final exam grade, NEF, is calculated as follows:
- if NE => 16 values and performed the oral exam, then NEF = NEO;
- if NE => 16 values and not performed the oral exam, then NEF = 16 values;
- if 9,5 <= NE < 16 values, then NEF = NE;
- if NE < 9.5 values, then NEF = NE ("Disapproved").
Admission to the final exam depends on the achievement of frequency according to the criteria below.
