Learning outcomes Transmit knowledge about entrepreneurship, develop in the trainee a series of skills and attitudes that foster the entrepreneurial spirit, aiming at the creation of new companies/new projects in existing companies/institutions. Skills to be acquired from the course:
- Know the process of creating new companies, factors and conditions;
- Characterize the figure of the entrepreneur and know the reasons for its emergence;
- Recognize business ideas and evaluate opportunities;
- Identify technologies with market potential and economic value;
- Identify the necessary elements for the process of creating a company;
- Develop and participate in entrepreneurial networks.

2 – From the idea to the opportunity
3 – From the opportunity to the business plan
4 – The market an the marketing plan
5 – Planning the new venture
6 – Launching and growth of the new venture
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The sessions are theoretical-practical and are based on two main lines: (i) presentation and discussion classes supported by slides and case studies used to encourage class discussion and participation and research papers and other support material made available in the course platform); (ii) hands on classes focused on supporting groups of students for the development of a Business Plan.
TThe assessment of the curricular unit will have three components:
(i) Evaluation of the deliverable works (W1+W2+W3+W4) 20% of the final grade.
(ii) Presentation of the Business Idea Proposal (PIN) 10% of the final grade
(iii) Assessment of the Business Plan 70% of the final grade:
a) Final written report, referring to the Business Plan
b) Presentation and discussion/defense of the Business Plan
NOTE Continuous Assessment = 0.2x assignments + 0.1x PIN presentation + 0.7x Business Plan
NOTE Assessment Exam = 0.2x assignments + 0.1x PIN presentation + 0.7x Business plan
