Learning outcomes Develop fundamental knowledge in Chemistry. Understand atomic models. Use the Periodic Table as a tool to understand the chemistry of elements. Understand the theories of chemical bonding and determine the geometry of molecules. Relate the physical properties of substances with intermolecular forces. Solve problems about gases and know how to apply the ideal gas law and Dalton's law. Classify solids according to chemical bonding and crystalline structure. Use crystal field theory to predict the structure and properties of transition metal complexes. Understand the laws of thermodynamics and their application to chemistry. Determine the reaction rate and its dependence on concentration, time and temperature. Establish the kinetics for a chemical reaction.
